When I turned 60 I decided I would try to train a wild mustang from scratch. The fact that I knew nothing about horse training and had never trained a horse, not even a domestic horse didn't seem to matter. I got Pancho as a yearling and spent many hours with him in the round pen. I bought a how to video on horse training. I would watch a segment then go out and try it on Pancho. Most of the time it worked. The biggest obstacle to overcome was gaining his trust.
